Review Nürnberger Nachrichten
Yesterday’s issue of the Nürnberger Nachrichten ran a review of our concert with Konstantin Wecker in the sold-out opera house:
(…) “Already the choice of his accompanying ensemble can be seen as an absolute stroke of luck. With their sensitive as well as powerful, rhythmically accentuated as well as humorously commenting string parts, the four scraggy gentlemen from the Spring String Quartet contribute a lot more than just sugar-sweet icing on Wecker’s songs. On the contrary, they shape the program with their extremely witty and virtuoso instrumental pieces.” (…)

... the Hells Angels of virtuosity...
At the moment we are staying in Tuscany practising Konstantin Wecker’s new program "Stürmische Zeiten, mein Schatz" (Stormy times, my dear) together with the songwriter, and I can tell you, this man is a true master of his art! It’s an honour for us to be able to work with him and to go on stage with him and, not to forget, his long-term musical partner Jo Barnikel. Those two are a perfect team and at the same time they are such cheerful and affectionate people …. I could go on endlessly raving over them.
Today, March 11th 09, Konstantin has placed an entry on his website that I’d like to draw your attention to: www.wecker.de/tagebuch.html (German only)
Ciao!
Christian
